Flu Shot Side Effects – Who Should NOT Vaccinated

In order to avoid any adverse flu shot side effects, it is better to know first if you really need to take flu shot or flu vaccine. In order to know that, you have to consult your physician or health care provider first. However, if you are in any of the following cases, flu shot is discouraged not unless you’ve consulted your physician or doctor about it.

  • Allergic to Chicken eggs. If you have severe allergy to chicken eggs then you are a candidate to not taking flu shots or flu vaccine.
  • Severe Reaction to influenza vaccination. If you already had severe reaction to influenza vaccination on your previous shots then its better not to take this time.
  • Children below 6 months. Influenza vaccine is definitely not approved for babies below 6 months.
  • People with illness. If you have illness, it is better to wait until you are fine before taking flu shots.
  • Guillain-BarrĂ© SyndromĂ©. If you have a history of GBS – a severe paralytic illness- after taking your previous flu shot tell your doctor right away. He will help make decision whether you have take flu shot again or not.
